First Light

Sun peeks over the mountains
Shimmering rays over the placid ocean
Bestowing a golden path from
The shore…brought a day
She was never promised…..
Castle walls rise out of darkness
Out of the silent charcoal curtains
First light came with a musical silence
The soul hearing it’s melody
A fresh page yet to be written
Even though blackness was absolute
Mist was visible and silvery
Against this backdrop
Trees were silhouetted even much
Darker than the ravens
It’s a subtle way to welcome
A new beginning
Where the mighty sun
Breathe the horizon…….
